Dolly Parton's Stampede in Branson Returns with New Thrills and Adventures

Celebrating more than three decades of entertainment and memory making, Dolly Parton’s Stampede in Branson is opening for its 31st season on February 27 with an exciting new act to add even more amazement and joy to this unforgettable dinner show. A combination of equestrian excellence, lively music and storytelling, a bit of comedic horseplay and a delicious four-course feast come together to make Stampede “The World’s Most Visited Dinner Show Attraction.”

Guests are in for an unforgettable visual journey with special effects, brilliant costuming and immersive lighting that bring majestic butterflies and stunning flowers to life in the new “Butterfly Dreams.” The enchanting segment kicks off with the show’s equine stars entering the arena adorned with whimsical butterfly wings in a spectacular choreographed formation. After fluttering around the Stampede arena in majestic fashion, the horses are joined by a grand display of blooming flower petals that unfold center stage; flowers descend from the “sky” high above the arena floor, while a kaleidoscope of larger-than-life, colorful, captivating butterflies create an unexpected visual experience as they glow and flutter around the arena. The action takes to the sky with a majestic butterfly aerial act, where performers soar high above the arena floor.

“When I was growing up, I was always fascinated by butterflies. They are such gentle, beautiful and free-spirited creatures, and I’ve always related to them with my own personality and how I live my life. They’ve become my little symbol, and I like to include them wherever I can,” said Dolly. “I used to get in trouble with my mom, ’cause they’d have to come find me, and I’d be chasing a butterfly from one place to another. I was fascinated with them, flying high in the sky. That’s why this new part of the Stampede show is so special to me. It’s bringing a piece of my childhood to life and celebrating something so beautiful that has inspired me to follow my dreams from a young age.”

While guests are in for a treat with the latest show addition, the excitement begins outside with the Horse Walk where guests can get an up-close look at the dinner show’s four-legged equine stars before even stepping inside the 35,000 square-foot arena. Then in the Saloon, the pre-show excitement is back and better than ever, with a mix of bluegrass and country music performed live for guests. The grand spectacle opens with Stampede’s skilled ensemble of cast members guiding the show’s 32 magnificent horses through thrilling equestrian challenges including barrel races, trick riding and more exciting feats.

The other star of the show, Stampede’s hearty four-course feast, is served shortly after guests are seated. Visitors are in for a treat as they indulge in a culinary lineup of savory, creamy vegetable soup, a buttery biscuit, a whole rotisserie chicken, pulled pork, buttery corn on the cob, and mashed potatoes. Guests can satisfy their sweet tooth by choosing either a delicious apple turnover or chocolate coconut cake and unlimited beverages including Coca-Cola® products, tea and coffee. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free meals available upon request.

For the finale, the cast comes together in a patriotic salute featuring “Color Me America,” an original song composed by Dolly. The talented Stampede riders and their majestic horses take center stage for an inspiring and memorable red, white and blue tribute to America.

The unparalleled performance and dining experience found at Dolly Parton’s Stampede will be the highlight of any weekend getaway or night out in Branson and creates memories for guests that will be cherished for a lifetime.
