4 Fun Facts and Figures for Our Branson Dinner Show

Our Branson dinner show provides an unforgettable evening for everyone who visits. As the world’s most visited dinner attraction, we’re sure you’ve heard about Dolly Parton’s Stampede before. We’re here to tell you more about our Branson location and share some interesting things about our show that you may not know! Here are 4 fun facts and figures about our Branson dinner show:

32 Magnificent Horses

The four-legged stars of our show are our beautiful horses. We have 32 magnificent horses who take the arena by storm and show off their impressive skills. Our 32 horses consume about 104,000 pounds of grain each year, along with about 3,500 bales of hay per year! The hay weighs about 262,500 pounds! In addition to what they eat, their bedding requires about 13,200 bales of pine shavings each year, about 528,000 pounds, that’s kept clean and dry by our stable hands. They need enough food and a comfortable place to rest so they can perform their best in our show for you!

50+ White Doves

grand finale

One of the moments that guests look forward to the most at our Branson dinner show is our grand finale. During our patriotic finale, more than 50 white doves of peace are released. Visitors love watching the two sides come together in a beautiful tribute of red, white, and blue, and the white doves are the perfect addition to the patriotic scene. The doves are raised and cared for at Dolly Parton’s Stampede and are always born in pairs, with the female hatching first, followed by the male.

200 Tons of White Sand

Within our 35,000 square foot arena, you’ll see sand covering the arena floor. The sand creates a surface that is dust-free and gentler for the horses’ legs. We import 200 tons of sand, more than 1,000 miles, from South Carolina each year to cover the arena floor. The sand creates a surface that’s dust-free and gentler for the horses’ legs.

4 Buffalo

Together, the herd weighs in at more than 4 tons! In addition to buffalo, we also have longhorns and Canine Capers! Our Canine Capers act is a stunt dog relay event that features rescue dogs participating in Fly-Ball racing, an agility course, and a high jump in an exciting, head-to-head competition.
