7 Things You Might Be Surprised to See at Our Dinner Show in Pigeon Forge
April 11, 2025
It’s no secret that Dolly Parton’s Stampede is the world’s most visited dinner attraction! We’re well known for our 32 magnificent horses, talented trick riders, and stunning productions, but we do have some surprises up our sleeves for those who come visit us. We provide all our guests with an evening they’ll never forget. To help you learn more about what to expect, we’re sharing seven things you might be surprised to see at our dinner show in Pigeon Forge:
1. Longhorns
In addition to our beautiful horses, we have amazing longhorns in our show! Our famous longhorns at Dolly Parton’s Stampede have become a highlight of the show for all who visit. They make an appearance as the pioneering settlers move west in search of new lands. For most guests, this is the closest they’ll ever be to these incredible animals.
2. Butterflies
It wouldn’t be a Dolly Parton attraction without including her favorite butterflies somehow! Butterflies have become known as a symbol for the superstar, so she knew she wanted to incorporate them into her show. Introduced in 2024, Butterfly Dreams takes guests on an unforgettable visual journey with special effects and immersive lighting that bring butterflies and stunning flowers to life. It also features a majestic butterfly aerial act!
3. Silverware
If you’ve heard of our show before, you may have heard that guests are encouraged to eat with their hands! While that still remains true to this day, we do provide all of our guests with a fork. Use your hands, or dig in with your fork — the food tastes amazing either way!
4. A Magic Trick
From aerial performances to horseback riding stunts, our show is a high-spirited adventure packed with fun. One thing you might be surprised to see included is a magic trick! Our barrel trick has become a crowd-favorite. It involves a member of the audience helping our resident comedian, Skeeter, fool our emcee. After it’s over, you’ll be left wondering how he managed to pull off the trick!
5. A Quality, Four-Course Meal
When you think of a dinner show, your immediate thought might not be a mouth-watering feast! Since there are so many people to feed at once, first-time guests typically worry the food will be cold or not cooked up to par. However, you’ll be pleasantly surprised that it’s the exact opposite! We go above and beyond with our dinner to ensure it’s enough to satisfy all your country cravings. Enjoy four courses of hearty portions and delicious flavors. Even the pickiest of eaters will love it!
6. Impressive Stunts
You can expect to see jaw-dropping performances during our show, but you’ll be amazed at some of the impressive stunts our talented performers can pull off! From breathtaking aerial performances to unbelievable horse tricks, you’ll be on the edge of your seat the entire show. One stunt that has always been a favorite among our guests is the Roman Ride of Fire, during which two talented horses move side by side with a rider standing astride both. Our trick rider performs a series of fast-paced maneuvers before leaping through a ring of fire! It’s something you have to see with your own eyes.
7. A Holiday-Themed Performance
Would you rather plan a visit during the holidays? You may be surprised to see that Santa Claus pays a visit to our dinner show in Pigeon Forge! We have an incredible Christmas show during the holiday season that includes ice skating, a friendly North Pole and South Pole rivalry, a live Nativity scene, and more. It’s the best way to get into the Christmas spirit!
