Dolly Parton's Stampede in Branson Returns in 2026 with New Thrills and Adventures
February 18, 2026
When Dolly Parton’s Stampede in Branson, Missouri, opens for its 32nd season on February 27, guests quickly will understand why it’s called “Branson’s most fun place to eat.” Unlike any other entertainment and dining experience, Stampede features an exciting combination of equestrian excellence, an all-new enchanting and colorful segment of “butterfly dreams,” lively music and storytelling, a bit of comedic horseplay and a delicious four-course feast that guests have loved for more than three decades.
“This time of year is always so exciting to me, because it means my Stampede is opening for another season,” said Dolly. “There’s just so much I love about the show, especially how much fun it is for families and kids. The Butterfly Dreams number, all those amazing horses and Skeeter’s silly antics – it all just makes me smile. And some folks even get to be part of the Stampede action in our friendly competitions! There are so many different things to experience and lots of unexpected surprises that I’ve thrown in – but you’re going to just have to come see everything else I’ve dreamed up for my Stampede show for yourself!”
When visitors arrive, memory making begins outside at the Horse Walk where the show’s biggest and most popular stars reside, and guests can get an up-close look at the dinner show’s four-legged equine stars before even stepping inside the 35,000 square-foot arena. Then in the Saloon, the pre-show excitement is back and better than ever, with a mix of bluegrass and country music performed live for guests.
The grand spectacle opens with Stampede’s skilled ensemble of cast members guiding the show’s 32 magnificent horses through thrilling equestrian challenges including barrel races, trick riding and more exciting feats. Laughter also has a starring role, with comedic fun from audience-favorite Skeeter. Guests will love Stampede’s showcase of a thundering herd of buffalo and a westward cattle drive of longhorn steer that brings the American frontier to life. The show’s new Butterfly Dreams segment enchants with its equine stars adorned with whimsical butterfly wings in a spectacular choreographed formation and then joined by grand blooming flowers unfolding center stage and descending from the “sky” high above the arena floor. The action then takes to the sky with a majestic butterfly aerial act, where performers soar high above the arena floor.
As competitions get underway, guests may find their hands full, enjoying the attraction’s signature four-course feast and must stomp their feet to “applaud.” Starting with the Stampede’s original creamy vegetable soup and homemade biscuit, guests will enjoy a whole rotisserie chicken, pulled pork, buttery corn on the cob, and mashed potatoes. Guests can satisfy their sweet tooth by choosing either a delicious apple turnover or chocolate coconut cake and unlimited beverages including Coca-Cola® products, tea and coffee. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free meals are available upon request.
For the finale, the cast comes together in a patriotic salute featuring “Color Me America,” an original song written and recorded by Dolly. The talented Stampede riders and their majestic horses take center stage for an inspiring and memorable red, white and blue tribute to America, a perfect tribute for our country’s 250th birthday celebration in 2026.
The unparalleled performance and dining experience found at Dolly Parton’s Stampede will be the highlight of any weekend getaway or night out in Branson and creates memories for guests that will be cherished for a lifetime.
